Italian Sausage Calzones
Ingredients
1 (8-count) can refrigerator dinner roll dough
6 ounces Italian sausage, casings removed
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon basil
1 teaspoon oregano
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 cups (8 ounces) shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup (4 ounces) grated Romano or Parmesan cheese

Method
Remove the dough from the can and let stand until room temperature. Fry the sausage in 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet until brown and crumbly, stirring frequently; drain. Stir in the basil and oregano.
Pat 4 of the rolls into an 11-inch round on a lightly floured work surface. Brush lightly with some of the 3 tablespoons olive oil. Spread half the sausage mixture over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border. Top with half the cheeses. Fold the dough over the filling, pinching the edges to seal. Brush with some of the 3 tablespoons olive oil. Repeat the process with the remaining dough, olive oil and filling.
Arrange the calzones on a greased baking sheet. Pierce a few holes in the tops with a fork. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with pasta sauce for dipping.
